The Media and Democracy Coalition is a collaboration of over two dozen local and national organizations committed to amplifying the public's voice in shaping media and telecommunications policy.
DC-based Coalition members worked together to organize a rally and strong testimony at the final public FCC hearing on localism, held at FCC headquartes in the Capitol on October 31st, 2007 and announced just one week prior. Over 150 activists took over the sidewalks outside the Commission, while representative from Coalition member organizations testified inside.
