The Coalition provided funds to Colorado Common Cause to hire a full time media and democracy organizer. In cooperation with the Alliance for Sustainable Colorad, they will host a Symposium on Media and Democracy on August 26th at the Big Tent, "the place to be for new media journalists, bloggers, reporters, and non-profit leaders covering the Democratic National Convention in Denver this summer."

The Symposium represents a huge opportunity to educate media makers and the many local political opinion leaders who come the the Convention as delegates and connect them to the Coalition's issues of concern.
